Shah Rukh Khan, famously known as Bollywood’s King, received a death threat call, marking the second high-profile threat after one aimed at Salman Khan, Indian media reported on Thursday.
Mumbai Police started investigating after learning of the threat to Shah Rukh Khan, who recently turned 59. Despite the danger, Shah Rukh remains one of Bollywood’s most admired stars, loved by millions even after over 30 years in the industry.
Fans joyfully celebrated his birthday, wishing him health and long life, yet the news of the threat saddened them. Bandra Police Station in Mumbai is now actively working on the case and following up on the call.
Reports indicate that the threat came through a phone call, with Bandra Police registering the complaint. News18 shared that a man from Chhattisgarh, identified as Faizan, allegedly made the threatening call.
As part of their investigation, a police team has traveled to Rajpur to examine Faizan further. Officials are considering all angles, including the possibility that the call was a hoax or linked to Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, and Times Now confirmed that the death threat call directly targeted Shah Rukh Khan.
