Bilawal’s humorous translation blunder during Karachi’s speech

Pakistan People’s People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made another humorous mistake while translating an English proverb into Urdu during a speech in Karachi on Tuesday.

He mistakenly translated the proverb “Give someone an inch, and they will take a mile,” but quickly realized the error and laughed at himself, asking, “How many memes will be made about this gaffe?” His self-deprecating humour made the lawyers and media audience at the Sindh Bar Council laugh.

While addressing the lawyers, Bilawal emphasized the need for a constitutional federal court with judges from all provinces. He stressed that constitutional and judicial reforms are essential and cannot be done through courts. He added, “We will bring judicial reforms as legislation and constitutional amendments are not the courts courts job.”

Bilawal is known for making such amusing blunders in the past due to his weaker command of Urdu.
