Babar Azam Welcomed by Fans at Melbourne Airport

Babar Azam received a warm welcome from fans at Melbourne Airport as he arrived in Australia, even with recent struggles in his batting form. The former captain, one of the first Pakistan players to arrive, was greeted by fans eager for selfies and to wish him success.

After missing the last two home matches against England, Babar is focused on regaining his form in the upcoming three ODIs and three T20Is before taking a break ahead of the Zimbabwe series.

The rest of the Pakistan squad is expected to join soon, with training scheduled to start on November 1, and the first ODI match set for November 4.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared that PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with new white-ball captain Muhammad Rizwan and vice-captain Salman Ali Agha, offering support and encouragement for the tour. Pakistan’s squads for the Australia and Zimbabwe tours include key returning players and emerging stars from the domestic circuit.

The team will compete in three ODIs and three T20Is in Australia from November 4-18, then head to Zimbabwe for matches from November 24 to December 5.
