    Babar Azam Resigns as Pakistan’s White-Ball Captain

    On Tuesday, Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam announced his resignation as the white-ball captain.

    Babar shared his decision to step down from the role in a post on X.
    Babar explained that he wants to focus more on his game and spend time with his family.

    He expressed pride in his journey so far and said he’s ready to focus solely on his role as a player.

    Babar described his time as captain as “rewarding” but admitted that it added a lot to his workload.

    “I want to focus on improving my performance, enjoying my batting, and spending quality time with my family, which makes me happy,” he said.

    “By stepping down, I’ll have a clearer path ahead and more energy for my game and personal growth,” Babar added. He also thanked fans for their continuous support and belief in him.

    “Your passion has meant everything to me. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I’m excited to continue contributing as a player.”
