Arrest Warrant Issued for Judge Humayun Dilawar in Land Grabbing Case

Bannu: A Judicial Magistrate in Bannu issued arrest warrants on Tuesday for Judge Humayun Dilawar, the Islamabad judge who convicted PTI founder Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case. The warrants relate to a land-grabbing case.

Arrest warrants were also issued for Dilawar’s father, brother, and a registrar involved.

According to the short order from Magistrate Mahboob ul Hassan, the investigation officer applied with records requesting arrest warrants.

The order directs the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) to arrest and present the accused in court.

Musaddiq Abbasi, the KP Chief Minister’s Special Assistant on Anti-Corruption, confirmed the news and said the accused illegally registered public land meant for government use under their names for a housing society. Abbasi claimed Judge Dilawar was the society’s chief executive.

The police estimate the government lost millions of rupees due to this land-grabbing case.

Judge Humayun Dilawar gained attention last year when he convicted former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case, sentencing him to three years for corrupt practices. However, the Islamabad High Court later suspended Khan’s sentence.
