Aima Baig faces backlash for performing in Jeddah after Umrah

Pakistani singer Aima Baig is under scrutiny for performing at a music event in Jeddah while on her Umrah pilgrimage.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, recently hosted the Pakistan-Indonesia Music Night as part of the ‘Jeddah Season,’ drawing thousands of attendees. Among the performers are Aima Baig, Bilal Saeed, the Sonu Dance Group, and Indonesia’s top singer, Lady Rara. Actor Kashif Khan and his TikToker daughter Rabica Khan also attended the event.

Earlier, Aima Baig informed her Instagram followers about her travel plans, sparking speculation that she might be leaving the country and quitting music. She later clarified that the trip was for work purposes.

Despite her explanation, videos of Aima Baig singing popular tracks like “Kaif o Suroor” and “Mast Malang” at the event have gone viral on social media. Alongside her performance, Aima Baig shared pictures of her Umrah pilgrimage on her Instagram story.
This combination of religious pilgrimage and musical performance has sparked criticism on social media, with many users disapproving of what they see as a conflict between her spiritual and professional activities.
