The legendary saga of Baahubali is far from over. The makers have officially dropped the teaser for their upcoming animated feature, Baahubali: The Eternal War, reigniting excitement among fans worldwide.
Directed by Ishan Shukla, known for his work on Star Wars: Visions and The Bandits of Golak, the film promises to take viewers deeper into the mythical world first created by SS Rajamouli.
According to the teaser’s description, “Amarendra Baahubali’s death wasn’t his end; it was the beginning of something Eternal.” The new chapter continues the legacy in a 3D animated format, expanding the universe beyond the original two-part blockbuster.
During promotions for Baahubali: The Epic, director SS Rajamouli clarified that the upcoming project is not ‘Baahubali 3’, but a continuation of the world through animation.
“We are releasing the ‘Baahubali: The Eternal War’ teaser. It’s not Baahubali 3, but it’s an extension of that universe,” Rajamouli stated.
The visionary filmmaker also credited producer Shobu Yarlagadda for developing the new concept alongside Shukla. The project, which has been in development for over two years, reportedly carries a budget of ₹120 crore.
Set to release in 2027, Baahubali: The Eternal War aims to blend cutting-edge animation with India’s most iconic cinematic tale, marking a new era for the franchise.
