As the President of the All Sindh Sarafa and Jewellers Association (ASSJA), Haji Haroon Rasheed played a vital role in Pakistan’s jewelry sector. He dedicated decades to regulating and announcing daily gold prices nationwide, earning him the nickname “Father of Gold.”
According to family sources, the 80-year-old was critically ill and receiving treatment at a local hospital when he suffered a fatal heart attack.
