Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 99 runs in the third ODI on Thursday, winning the series 2-1 at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo.
After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat first and set a challenging target for the hosts.
Kamran Ghulam’s maiden century, combined with an impressive bowling performance, led Pakistan to a dominant victory in the series decider.
Zimbabwe, chasing 304 runs, could only manage 204 despite skipper Craig Ervine’s valiant half-century.
The hosts had a poor start, losing two wickets for just 10 runs in the first three overs.
Craig Ervine and Tadiwanashe Marumani tried to stabilize the innings with a cautious 39-run partnership before Marumani was dismissed in the ninth over.
Ervine built another key partnership, adding 41 runs with Sean Williams for the fourth wicket, but he was eventually dismissed by Aamir Jamal in the 26th over.
Ervine top-scored for Zimbabwe with 51 runs off 63 balls, including five fours and a six, but his efforts weren’t enough to save the game.
