    PCB Announces Central Contracts for Women Cricketers: Who’s In and Who’s Out?

    The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled its list of centrally contracted players for the women’s cricket team for the 2024-25 season.

    According to the PCB’s statement, 16 players have been awarded contracts, effective from July 1, 2024. Last year, 20 players received two-year contracts with a performance review set for the end of the 2023-24 season.

    Promotions and New Entries

    • Captain Fatima Sana and wicketkeeper-batter Muniba Ali have been promoted to Category A.
    • Left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal moves up to Category B, thanks to her strong recent performances.
    • Three players have earned new contracts: Gul Feroza, Ramin Shamim, and Tasmia Rabab.
      • Tasmia Rabab secured her first-ever central contract, marking a significant milestone in her career.
      • Gul Feroza, who last had a contract in 2018, and Ramin Shamim, a previous contract holder in 2022-23, make their return.

    Non-Renewed Contracts
    Nida Dar, Alia Riaz, Anush Nasir, Iman Fatima, Shawal Zulfiqar, and Sidra Nawaz did not have their contracts renewed. However, they remain eligible for team selection.
