Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a new gas supply schedule for winter 2024 for its 7.22 million consumers in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other areas of Pakistan.
Under the new schedule, consumers will receive gas during the following times:
- 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM (morning)
- 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (afternoon)
- 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (evening)
SNGPL Executive Officer (Technical), Muhammad Faisal, confirmed that the company will provide full-pressure gas during these hours in line with government guidelines.
Faisal explained that any gas shortages outside the scheduled times are due to technical faults, but that gas will be supplied at full pressure during the designated hours.
Gas consumption typically increases in winter as people use gas for heating instead of relying on expensive electricity.
New Gas Supply Schedule for Winter:
- 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM: For morning meals and heating
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: For midday cooking and heating
- 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM: For dinner
