After reaching a historic high on Saturday, gold prices in Pakistan slightly decreased on Monday.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs200, bringing it down to Rs260,000. Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs172, now priced at Rs222,908.
On the international market, gold prices also saw a slight dip, with the rate per ounce dropping by $5 to $2,502.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained stable, with the rate per tola holding steady at Rs2,950.
The previous record high for gold prices in Pakistan was on July 18, when the price surged significantly after the two-day Ashura break.
