Though the sky is cloudy, the Met Office predicts no rain in Karachi today, but some areas might see drizzle.
On Saturday, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz stated that the weather will remain cloudy, with the city’s sea breeze blocked due to low air pressure in the Arabian Sea. He confirmed that Karachi will not receive rain today, although drizzle is possible in some parts of the city.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) advisory, Karachi’s weather will stay hot and humid over the next 24 hours.
The port city has been experiencing a severe heatwave for the past few days, with temperatures exceeding 40°C and feeling over 50°C. The minimum temperature in Karachi is recorded at 30.5°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to be between 36 to 38°C, according to the PMD. The Met Office also reported a humidity level of 70%.
Karachi’s residents experienced some relief from the intense heat on Thursday when parts of the city received rain. However, this relief was brief as humidity quickly returned, dominating the atmosphere.
