LAHORE: A student in Lahore’s Hadyara reportedly committed suicide after receiving poor grades in the matric exams.
Fifteen-year-old Arslan, from village Padana, jumped from a water storage tank and suffered fatal injuries to his head and neck.
Police reported that the BISE announced the matric results, and Arslan was disappointed with his marks.
Police and forensic teams have gathered evidence and started their investigations.
On Tuesday, the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced the matric exam results.
The success rate was 69 percent, with 174,500 students passing the exam.
