Bollywood star Salman Khan received another threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang on Tuesday, according to Mumbai Police Traffic Control officials.
The message reportedly stated, “This is Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should apologize at our temple or pay Rs.5 crore. Otherwise, we will kill him. Our gang is still active,” as reported by ANI.
Mumbai Police confirmed that they are actively searching for the individual behind the message.
This is the second threat Khan has received within a week. The latest threat, supposedly from an associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was sent late last night, intensifying concerns around the actor’s safety.
In response, police have launched an investigation and increased security around Khan, considering this a heightened risk to his safety.
On October 30, an anonymous message demanded Rs 2 crore from Khan. Over the years, Khan has faced multiple threats, including an attempt by two individuals to access his Panvel farmhouse with fake IDs and a threat email allegedly from gangster Goldy Brar in 2023.
In 2022, a threat letter was found near Khan’s residence. His security was increased after Baba Siddique’s recent murder on October 12, for which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility, reportedly due to Siddique’s close ties with Khan.
