In a horrifying incident, 20-year-old Syeda Sania Zehra Bukhari from Multan was reportedly tortured to death by her husband, Syed Ali Raza Bukhari. The tragedy occurred after Sania refused to ask her parents for money.
Sania Zehra, from a well-known Multan family, succumbed to severe torture on July 8th. Forensic reports revealed she was brutally murdered by choking after being raped. The investigation uncovered the extent of the abuse she endured: her feet were crushed, her tongue was severed, and her teeth were fractured, painting a graphic picture of severe torment.
Sania was the mother of two young boys, aged 3 and 1.5 years. After killing his 5-month pregnant wife, the suspect hung her body from a ceiling fan to stage the murder as a suicide.
The victim’s father, Syed Assad Abbas Shah, claimed in a video that his daughter was killed by her husband for money and property, denying any claims of suicide.
Despite the seriousness of his crime, Syed Ali Raza remains at large. Sania’s brutal killing has provoked national outrage and highlighted the urgent need for strict enforcement of Pakistan’s domestic abuse laws.
