Pakistan is observing Kashmir Solidarity Day today (Wednesday) to show unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, as promised by UN resolutions. The day is a public holiday across the country.
According to Radio Pakistan, solidarity walks and rallies will take place nationwide and in Azad Kashmir. In Islamabad, a rally will be held on Constitution Avenue. At 10 AM, sirens will sound, and a one-minute silence will honor Kashmiri martyrs.
Posters and billboards highlighting the struggles of Kashmiris and exposing Indian atrocities are displayed at key locations like airports and railway stations.
In Muzaffarabad, the AJK Legislative Assembly will hold a special session to show solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK).
Human chains will form at Mangla, Kohala, Bararkot, Azad Pattan, and Holar, connecting Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. In Mirpur, a special event will take place at Mangla Bridge, with similar functions in Kotli and Bhimber districts.
The day underscores Pakistan’s commitment to the Kashmiri cause and their fight for freedom.
