NHA to Launch Helicopter Rescue Service for Motorways

The National Highway Authority (NHA) plans to start a helicopter rescue service to provide quick medical help for people injured in motorway accidents.

This service will work alongside the 1122 emergency helpline to ensure fast response to accident victims.

The minister leading this initiative has asked the NHA to develop short-term and long-term strategies to improve road safety.

The minister also emphasized the need for transparency in using government funds and called for a five-year plan to improve highways and motorways across the country.

In addition, the NHA has been instructed to introduce modern toll collection systems and create a National Transport Policy to improve operations.
