Karachi University Students Protest for Sixth Day Over Fees and Facilities

Students at the University of Karachi have been protesting for six consecutive days outside the Vice Chancellor’s office, demanding better facilities, lower fees, and changes to the points system.

According to Express News, the students raised slogans and submitted a list of demands to Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Mahmoud Iraqi. Although some issues were addressed during discussions, student leaders remained dissatisfied.

The protestors, mainly from the Islamic Jamiat-e-Talaba and the Students Alliance, are determined to continue their protest. They emphasized the poor classroom conditions and the burden of high fees.

    The students’ key demands include:

    1. Lowering of fees
    2. Improving campus facilities
    3. Revising the points system
    4. Solving administrative problems

The protest is ongoing, with students threatening to escalate their actions and shut down university offices if their demands are not met.
