Karachi to See Heavy Rain as Monsoon Hits Sindh

Karachi is expected to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms on July 29 and 30. According to a weather report from the Met Office, a strong monsoon system will enter Sindh on the night of July 28 (Sunday).

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) keeps alert nationwide about heavy rainfall from July 28 to 31. The NDMA stated that monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea will move into the upper parts of the country. Bringing significant rainfall during this period.

This weather system is expected to bring heavy rainfall to various parts of Karachi. With some areas potentially experiencing intense downpours. The severity of the incoming weather system is such that several other districts in Sindh are likely to be affected.

There is a significant risk of flash floods due to the new monsoon system. Areas such as upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Galliyat, Murree, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are anticipated to receive heavy rains and thunderstorms, increasing the likelihood of flash floods.

Karachi and other coastal districts of Sindh are experiencing cloudy weather today. With light rainfall or drizzle expected in different areas of the region.
