Gold prices have reached new all-time highs globally and in Pakistan.

Earlier Saturday, the international gold price per ounce increased by $9, reaching $2,721. In local markets, 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs. 900, hitting Rs. 281,800, while 10 grams increased by Rs. 772, reaching Rs. 241,598. Silver prices also rose, with per tola silver now at Rs. 3,150 and Rs. 2,700.62 for 10 grams.

On Friday, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs. 3,000 in Pakistan, reaching Rs. 280,900. This recent spike in gold prices is linked to rising tensions in the Middle East, upcoming U.S. elections, and changes in monetary policies.

Analysts say global economic instability drives investors to buy gold as a safe-haven asset, pushing demand and prices to record levels.
