Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur have reached Mansehra after leaving Islamabad, sources confirmed.
According to PTI insiders, Bushra Bibi, Gandapur, and Opposition Leader Omar Ayub are staying at Provincial Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati’s residence in Mansehra. Gandapur is set to address an emergency press conference at 11 AM today at the PTI Secretariat in Mansehra.
The two left Islamabad on Tuesday night during a police operation to clear the Blue Area. PTI sources claim they fled the area, leaving party supporters behind during the security crackdown.
Security officials stated that law enforcement cleared the Blue Area and began searching for Bushra Bibi and Gandapur. Earlier, Bushra Bibi had promised not to leave Islamabad until her husband, Imran Khan, was freed. However, it is unclear how they managed to escape the protest site or their whereabouts before reaching Mansehra.
Reports also confirm that security forces arrested Bushra Bibi’s driver in connection with the incident.
In a separate update, Rawalpindi police reported over 400 arrests during the operation. Authorities seized weapons, ammunition, and communication devices, accusing those arrested of attacking police, vandalism, and arson.
Across Punjab, nearly 800 people have been arrested as part of ongoing law enforcement actions. Police have pledged to prosecute all individuals involved in criminal acts.
