Many users on X mentioned their inability to access Facebook, sparking speculation about a possible government ban, similar to what happened with X.
Down Detector, a Pakistan-based social media monitoring platform, noted a spike in complaints about Facebook accessibility starting at midnight on Monday, with another increase by noon on Wednesday. However, the international monitoring group Netblocks did not detect any issues from Pakistan.
Netblocks reported disruptions to Facebook in Bangladesh, where protests occur, but confirmed no problems in Pakistan.
