Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, the controversial classical singer, has released his new parody song titled “Aaj Aane Ki Zid Na Karo,” media reported on Sunday.
Originally, the song “Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo” was performed by the renowned classical ghazal singer Farida Khanum. The song was written by Fayyaz Hashmi, a prolific lyricist who penned over 500 songs before relocating to Pakistan in 1947. His work included many popular non-film songs sung by Jagmohan Kaur, Hemant Kumar, and Pankaj Mallick in the 1940s.
In his parody, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan altered the word “Jaane” to “Aane” and incorporated some Urdu alphabets such as Alif, Bey, Pey, Tey, Sey, and Jeem, along with different alaaps.
It is noteworthy that Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, a self-proclaimed Pakistani singer, is already facing legal issues. He received a defamation notice accusing him of damaging the reputation of the late musician Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
