BCCI Comments on Possible Pakistan Tour for ICC Champions Trophy

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary, Jay Shah, has addressed the possibility of the Indian cricket team touring Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. The tournament is scheduled in Pakistan from February to March, but India’s participation remains to be determined as the BCCI seeks government approval.

In a recent interview, Jay Shah clarified that no final decision has been made regarding the tour. He emphasized that the BCCI would evaluate the situation and make decisions at the appropriate time.

“We haven’t taken a stand yet. We’ll address it when the time comes,” Shah stated.

Previously, reports in Indian media suggested that the Indian team might not visit Pakistan for the tournament. Additionally, there were claims that the BCCI proposed Dubai and Sri Lanka as alternative venues for India’s matches.

The ICC Champions Trophy will feature eight teams, each determined by their performances in the 2023 ODI World Cup, which will be held in India.
