Pakistan’s key players, Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan, have dropped in the latest ICC Test rankings. Babar Azam has fallen three places to 15th with 684 points, while Shaheen Afridi is now ranked 14th, falling out of the top 10 in the bowling category. Mohammad Rizwan has also dropped 12 spots, landing 19th in the Test rankings.
On the other hand, England’s Joe Root continues to shine, securing a career-high 932 rating points after a stunning double-century in England’s victory over Pakistan. Root now leads the ICC Test Batter Rankings by a significant margin. Harry Brook’s teammate also made a giant leap, rising 11 places after his impressive triple-century against Pakistan.
For Pakistan, Agha Salman and captain Shan Masood made gains in the rankings. Salman jumped 11 spots to 22nd, while Masood leapt 12 places to 51st.
In the T20I rankings, Babar Azam maintained his fourth spot with 755 points, while Rizwan moved to fifth. Shaheen Afridi holds the 13th in bowling, and Naseem Shah improved his position, climbing to 48th.
