An alleged video of renowned playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar with Amina Arooj went viral on social media on Tuesday, just two days after a criminal gang threatened to release it.
Reports suggest that the video shows Qamar allegedly involved in an indecent act with Amina Arooj. The woman who reportedly abducted him earlier this month.
It’s important to note that Qamar was recently targeted by a honey-trapping scheme orchestrated by a criminal gang. The group demanded a ransom and threatened to release a compromising video of him.
In the alleged video, Qamar sits with Amina Arooj, who invited him to her home. According to the police, the mastermind, Hassan Shah, and his accomplice have been arrested.
The situation led to swift police action, resulting in the arrest of Hassan Shah, the gang’s alleged mastermind, along with his accomplice in Peshawar.
Two days ago, Hassan Shah claimed in a TV interview that he had an indecent video of Qamar with Amina Arooj.
The police identified Hassan Shah as the central orchestrator of the honey-trapping operation. They arrested him and his associate, Rafiq. The gang, consisting of 12 members, including several women, was involved in this extortion scheme. The police have also detained other gang members linked to this and possibly other similar criminal activities.
