On October 7, Adnan Sami shared the heartbreaking news that his mother, Begum Naureen Sami Khan, passed away at the age of 77. The singer announced her passing on social media, expressing his deep sorrow. The cause of her death has not been revealed.
Adnan shared an emotional post with a photo of his mother, along with her name and the years of her birth and death. He wrote, “With the greatest sadness & infinite sorrow, I announce the demise of our beloved Mother, Begum Naureen Sami Khan. We are overcome with profound grief. She was an extraordinary woman who spread love and happiness to everyone she met. We will miss her immensely. Please offer prayers for her soul. May Allah bless her with Jannat-ul-Firdaus… Ameen.”
After his post, many fans and celebrities offered their condolences. Actress Mini Mathur wrote, “Dear Adnan, Roya, and Madina, I’m deeply saddened by the loss of your mother. May you find strength to cope with this grief, and may she rest in heaven.” Singer Raghav added, “May Allah grant her the best place in heaven. Losing a mother is the greatest pain, may you find the strength to bear this loss.”
Adnan Sami was born in London on August 15, 1971. His father, Arshad Sami Khan, was from Afghanistan and was a pilot in the Pakistan Air Force before becoming Pakistan’s ambassador to 14 nations. His mother, Begum Naureen, hailed from Jammu.
