Pakistan’s female swimmer Jehanara Nabi will represent the country at the Paris Olympics 2024 on a wild card. A senior Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF) official confirmed this on Monday. Jehanara will compete in the 200-meter freestyle event at the Olympics, with the opening ceremony set for July 26 in Paris.
Jehanara has significant international experience and has excelled in various events, especially the 200m freestyle.
Expectations are high for Jehanara to deliver her best performance on this prestigious stage. With her inclusion, Pakistan’s Paris Olympics contingent is complete. Female sprinter Faiqa Riaz will also represent the nation on a wild card.
Among the athletes representing Pakistan, only javelin thrower, world silver medallist Arshad Nadeem, and shooters Kishmala Talat, Ghulam Mustafa Bashir, and Joseph Gulfam have directly qualified for the Olympics. This brings the total number of Pakistan athletes to six at the Olympics.
