LONDON, July 11, 2025 — Altaf Hussain, the exiled founder of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), has been admitted to a hospital in London due to a serious illness, his party’s Rabita Committee confirmed today.
Supporters in the UK and Pakistan are being called upon to offer prayers for his recovery. Hussain, a prominent figure among the Muhajir community, has remained in self-imposed exile since relocating to London in the early 1990s.
This development has sparked widespread concern among MQM activists, as Hussain’s health remains a sensitive topic for the party’s future leadership.
