Pakistan’s star pacer Shaheen Afridi has reached a significant milestone by taking 100 wickets in T20 Internationals.
He achieved this landmark during the first T20 match against South Africa in Durban. Shaheen is now the third Pakistani bowler to claim 100 wickets in men’s T20 Internationals.
The left-arm fast bowler also became the first Pakistani to take 100 wickets in all three formats of international cricket. Shaheen has 112 wickets in ODIs and 116 in Test matches. Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan have also crossed the 100-wicket mark in T20 Internationals for Pakistan.
South Africa Defeats Pakistan by 11 Runs
South Africa defeated Pakistan by 11 runs in the first match of the three-game T20 series held at Kingsmead Stadium, Durban.
South African captain Heinrich Klaasen won the toss and chose to bat first. The team posted a total of 183 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. David Miller top-scored with 82 runs, while George Linde added 48.
In response, Pakistan managed 172 runs for 8 wickets. Mohammad Rizwan led the scoring with 74 runs, and Saim Ayub contributed 31 runs.

Pakistan’s lineup for the first T20 match included Mohammad Rizwan (captain), Babar Azam, Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Tayyab Tahir, and Mohammad Irfan Khan Niazi. Abbas Afridi, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Abrar Ahmed completed the team.
All-rounder Salman Ali Agha was not included in the playing XI for this match.
