Senator Faisal Vawda has made serious allegations, claiming Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, might be plotting to harm her husband, even suggesting a potential plan to kill him.
During an appearance on ARY News’ Off The Record, Vawda accused Bushra Bibi of destabilizing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and undermining Imran Khan’s leadership. He warned that her actions could have dangerous consequences for Khan.
Vawda described Bushra Bibi as a “venomous woman” and blamed her for causing deep divisions within PTI. He alleged, “She and her accomplices could poison Khan and then use his death for political gains.”
According to Vawda, Bushra Bibi’s interference in PTI’s internal affairs has caused growing tensions among party leaders. He claimed she insulted senior PTI members, calling them “beghairat” (dishonorable) and “vultures” during a meeting in Peshawar. These remarks reportedly led to PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja resigning from his position.
Vawda also criticized Bushra Bibi’s role in PTI protests. He accused her of ignoring Imran Khan’s instructions by redirecting a planned protest to D-Chowk instead of the agreed location in Sangjani, creating confusion and chaos.
He further accused her of being involved in the Toshakhana gifts controversy. Vawda claimed she orchestrated the sale of the gifts and redirected the proceeds to her children, rather than Imran Khan’s family. These allegations align with ongoing investigations into the Toshakhana scandal, which has added to Khan’s legal troubles.
Despite his criticism, Vawda expressed concern for Imran Khan’s safety, as the former prime minister has been imprisoned in Adiala Jail for over a year. Vawda pledged to protect Khan, insisting he has been betrayed by those closest to him, including his wife.
Vawda’s explosive allegations have intensified scrutiny of Bushra Bibi’s role in PTI and her relationship with Imran Khan, raising questions about the party’s future and the former prime minister’s political career.
