ISLAMABAD: Authorities have scheduled the retake of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT 2024) for November 24 in the Islamabad region.
This decision comes after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) declared the earlier test invalid.
Retake Ordered by Islamabad High Court
On October 29, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of the IHC directed a retake for candidates from Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The court made this ruling after students filed petitions citing irregularities and out-of-syllabus questions in the original test.
Retake Details
Over 17,000 candidates are set to appear in the retake, including several students who are currently abroad.
The Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University had initially conducted MDCAT 2024 in September for students in Islamabad and AJK.
MDCAT is a crucial step in the admission process for medical and dental undergraduate programs across Pakistan.
