Pakistan claimed the three-match Test series against England 2-1 after winning Rawalpindi on Saturday. Needing only 36 runs to win on the third day, Pakistan chased down the target, losing just one wicket.
Bowling Performance
Earlier, Pakistan’s spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan dismantled England’s batting, taking all ten wickets to bowl them out for 112. Noman secured figures of 6-42, while Sajid took 4-69, displaying formidable spin. England, who resumed at a shaky 24-3, saw their innings fold in 37.2 overs. Joe Root scored 33, but the rest of the lineup struggled to hold off Pakistan.
The strong bowling duo was included after England’s innings win in Multan. Since then, Noman and Sajid took a combined 39 wickets across the second and third Tests, leading Pakistan to this comeback series victory. Pakistan had previously won the second Test by 152 runs in Multan.
England’s fate was sealed after Noman dismissed Harry Brook and Ben Stokes early in the day. Jamie Smith and Rehan Ahmed also fell soon after, with Noman wrapping up England’s innings by dismissing Jack Leach for ten.
