    Sri Lanka Defeats Pakistan Shaheens to Reach Emerging Asia Cup Final

    AL-AMERAT: Pakistan Shaheens couldn’t defend their score of 136 against Sri Lanka A, who won by seven wickets in the Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup semi-final on Friday.

    Sri Lanka A’s Lahiru Udara and Ahan Wickramasinghe built a 64-run partnership, setting a solid pace in their chase. Udara scored an aggressive 43 off 20 balls, while Ahan, promoted in the batting lineup, remained unbeaten with 52 runs, including four boundaries and a six. Ahan and Sahan Arachchige’s partnership of 32 runs comfortably led Sri Lanka to victory, with Sahan contributing 17 runs.

    Shaheens, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Abbas Afridi took one wicket each for Pakistan.

    Pakistan Shaheens’ Innings
    Batting first, Shaheens scored 135-9 in 20 overs, with Omair bin Yousuf’s 68 off 46 being the standout contribution. Other batters, including captain Mohammad Haris (6), Qasim Akram (0), Haider Ali (14), and others, struggled to score, leading to a batting collapse.

    Dushan Hemantha was the top bowler for Sri Lanka A, taking four wickets, while Nipun Ransika and Eshan Malinga picked up a wicket each.
