Another flight attendant from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), identified as Mohsin Raza, has gone missing in Toronto. Raza, who hails from Islamabad, was last seen in Toronto and was supposed to fly back to Karachi on October 13. However, he should have arrived at the hotel before the scheduled flight PK 784.
The incident was discovered when Raza did not report for duty. This marks another case in a troubling pattern, with over 12 PIA attendants reportedly disappearing in Toronto over the past year.
Despite PIA’s policy requiring crew members to submit their passports to airline authorities in Toronto, this measure has yet to prevent these disappearances successfully.
PIA’s management has launched an investigation into Raza’s case. A spokesperson for the airline stated that if Raza is found guilty of wrongdoing, he could face strict disciplinary action, including possible termination.
In a similar case in June, another flight attendant, Noor Sher, went missing after arriving in Toronto on flight PK 781. It’s been reported that several of these missing attendants have applied for asylum in Canada.
