KP House Blocks Sealed Due to Expired Lease

The Capital Development Authority (CDA), led by Special Magistrate Sardar Muhammad Asif, sealed four blocks of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) House in Islamabad on Monday due to lease expiration issues. The lease had expired back in 2006.

Supported by Assistant Commissioner Abdullah, the operation sealed Blocks A and B of the KP House. Block C remained unsealed since families still occupied it. Despite multiple notices to renew the lease and demolish illegal structures, the KP House administration took no action, resulting in the sealing of guest rooms.

The magistrate confirmed that the operation went smoothly with no resistance and said the entire premises would eventually be fully sealed.
The CDA had also sealed PTI’s central secretariat in Islamabad, which was later de-sealed following Islamabad High Court orders.
