China secured a spot in the 2024 Asian Champions Trophy Hockey final by defeating Pakistan in the semi-final today at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in Inner Mongolia.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw at full time, leading to a tense penalty shootout where China won 2-0.
Both teams played with great skill and determination throughout the game. However, Pakistan’s chances faded as they missed four consecutive penalties in the shootout, giving China the win.
With this victory, China advanced to the finals and will face the winner of the second semi-final between South Korea and India. Pakistan will compete in the third-place playoff.
