A Karachi sessions court granted bail to Natasha Danish, the main suspect in the Karsaz traffic accident case after the victims’ family forgave her through an out-of-court settlement.
Natasha was arrested after driving an SUV recklessly on August 19, resulting in the deaths of Imran Arif and his daughter Amna.
On Friday, the court approved her bail following the settlement with the victims’ legal heirs. Natasha’s bail was set at Rs100,000 surety. Her husband, Danish Iqbal, also received bail regarding the case.
The affidavit, obtained by ARY News, stated, “We have forgiven the accused in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.” The family clarified that they have no objections to the bail and stressed that the accident was unintentional. They confirmed the affidavit was made without any pressure and was truthful.
The Accident: The tragic accident occurred on August 19, when Natasha’s SUV crashed into multiple vehicles on Karsaz Road, killing 26-year-old Amna and her 60-year-old father, Imran. Another person injured in the accident remains in critical condition.
FIRs and Drug Use: Natasha was initially charged with the deaths of Imran and Amna Arif. Later, a second FIR was registered after medical reports confirmed that Natasha was under the influence of methamphetamine (crystal meth) at the time of the accident. When the incident occurred, she was reportedly driving from DHA Scheme-I to her in-laws’ house.
