Karachi: On Thursday morning, a severe traffic jam occurred on Sharae Faisal due to the temporary closure of the Baloch Colony Bridge after an oil tanker overturned.
Earlier, a speeding oil tanker overturned onto a car near the Baloch Colony bridge, resulting in the death of a man.
Despite 12 hours passing, the oil tanker has not been removed, causing massive traffic jams across the city.
Traffic police have redirected vehicles from Korangi towards Akhtar Colony. While those coming from Godam Chowrangi Korangi to Jam Sadiq Bridge are being sent back via a U-turn.
Additionally, traffic from Bohri Cut and Shaheed-e-Millat Road is diverted towards Sharae Faisal, worsening congestion on this main route.
The traffic flow on Shahrah-e-Quaideen and Korangi Road has also been affected.
Traffic police advise motorists to plan their routes accordingly and expect delays. Especially on Sharae Faisal, where slow movement has been reported.
Efforts by the traffic police aim to minimize disruptions and maintain order on Karachi’s roads during this time.
